How to Address Fast Battery Drain Issues in the Air Smart Feeder?
If your Air Smart Feeder is experiencing rapid battery drain, follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.
1. Placement and Network:
Place the feeder next to your router within 15 feet to ensure a strong signal. Reboot your router to refresh the connection and improve signal stability.
2. Power and Reset:
a. Use the original power adapter and cable that came with the feeder.
b. Toggle the power switch at the bottom of the feeder off and back on.
c. Press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds to reset the feeder and clear any previous settings.
3. Reconnect and Update Firmware:
Re-add the feeder to the app and ensure the firmware is updated to the latest version (if there is a newer version). This ensures the feeder is running optimally with the latest improvements.
4. Charging:
a. Charge the feeder for at least 8 hours while it is turned on, plugged in, and connected to a stable network.
b. Please note that if the feeder is off during charging, it cannot report the charging data to the system in real-time, which may cause inaccurate battery status updates.
5. Monitor Battery Drain:
After fully charging the device, disconnect the power adapter and observe the battery performance.
a. Check if the feeder’s battery drains significantly within a day (e.g., drops from 100% to below 50%).
b. A gradual decrease (e.g., 100% to 90%) is considered normal.
*Note:
1. For better investigation, we recommend monitoring how long the battery lasts after a full charge.
2. Sometimes, even a 10% battery level can power the feeder for several days or up to a week.
