How do I install my Scout Smart Camera?

We can help with that. Scout supports three placement methods: flat placement, wall mounting, and tripod mounting. We recommend placing the camera near your pet's food and water bowl or litter box.

Here's how to install the camera for each of the placement methods:

For flat placement, place the Scout camera on a stable surface such as a table or bookshelf. The camera can tilt up to 50°, allowing you to minimize blind spots.

For wall mounting, first attach the wall mount bracket to the wall using nails or screws. Then attache the camera to the corresponding clip on the bracket. Make sure not to install the camera upside down! The wall bracket has a slight downward tilt to reduce visual blindspots at the bottom.

For tripod mounting, start by tightening the connector piece to the tripod screw. Then secure Scout to the connector piece by screwing it in tightly.

And here are a couple more helpful installations tips:
Got pets who like to tip things over, like your Scout Smart Camera? Use the double-stick tape enclosed in the Scout packaging by sticking it first to the connector piece, then sticking the camera to that. Make sure to only use the tape on flat surfaces. Your camera might fall if you try to use the tape to attach it to a wall.
